The 35th Eritrean independence anniversary in Winnipeg will be celebrated on Sunday, May 17, 2026 starting at 5:00 pm at the Immaculate Conception Church located at 181 Autin St. N. Winnipeg. After a long and arduous struggle, Eritrea's independence in this year is being celebrated when our country is getting the highest attention by the big powers around the world. Congratulations Eritreans and friends of Eritrea. See you there.

This project is built with you — and your voice matters every step of the way. We invite you to complete the short questionnaire below to share your thoughts, needs, and hopes for this initiative. Your responses will help shape a community that truly works for everyone. What this project offers: • Safe, stable, and affordable homes for low-income families • A welcoming environment for new immigrants and newcomers • Access to support services including language, settlement, and employment resources • Community spaces designed to bring neighbours together All responses are confidential.
